Completing a Reverse 1031 Exchange is not something that most real estate investors have experience with. The concept of exchanging a property prior to the property being sold is foreign to most investors since it’s not something that happens very often. In this situation, an investor from Northern California used the equity in their existing free & clear rental property as collateral to acquire a two-unit property on a lazy river in Southern Oregon. FCTD placed the loan with a trust deed investor who had financed several of FCTD’s prior Reverse 1031 Exchange loans.
