Raj Mulchandani

Senior Partner

Raj Mulchandani left public accounting in 2010 to join BofI Federal Bank (now Axos Bank). He began his banking career in audit and lending compliance before transitioning into the role as Vice President of Commercial Lending. There, he originated credit facilities for private mortgage lenders, REITs, and played a key role in creating a direct commercial bridge lending platform, originating $250 million of bridge loans in its first two years.

Raj personally has extensive experience in trust deed investing, residential and commercial real estate.

In 2015, Raj was hired as the Head of Sales for 5Arch Funding, an Irvine, California-based private debt fund with over $1 billion in commitments. He was the top producer during his tenure at 5Arch and eventually left to join First Capital Trust Deeds as a Senior Partner in 2018, where he originates bridge loans, construction financing, and second trust deeds for his real estate investor clients, often sourcing funds from his network of trust deed investors.

Raj personally has extensive experience in trust deed investing, residential and commercial real estate. He has funded numerous trust deeds for his clients, owned long-term rentals and commercial buildings, and has completed several fix and flip projects in Southern California.
